The Wahpeton FFA excels at-  finding new and innovative ways to connect with our younger members. Wahpeton FFA Chapter works hard to share our activities and success with our community. We are regularly working with our local paper and staying active on our social media accounts. In the past year, we have invested time into the middle school students in our program. In recent events, this push has led to 8th grade students earning gold in their career development events. As our state convention approaches, our hope is that these students choose to chase excellence and strive for a first place finish.
Upcoming fundraisers:  We do an annual fruit fundraiser every fall that consists of grapefruit, apples, oranges, and pears. The sale also includes items such as coffee, nuts, chocolate, and cheese. Though the weeks vary, our fundraiser usually runs from October to November.
How to join:  Reach out to Mr. Scott Thiel or Mrs. Calista Ringler- there is a place for everyone in Wahpeton FFA.
Is the club doing anything special for National FFA Week? Our students are spread across our campus for FFA Week. We will have FFA trivia and dress-up days each day of the week in both the middle and high school. Our students will be serving pies to elementary, middle, & high school staff on Wednesday after school. We have two officers conducting a dairy lesson with the 5th graders where they will learn about how milk is used and how ice cream is made. First through fourth graders will participate in a coloring contest. The seventh grade ag classes will be going on a field trip to the Riverview Dairy outside of Campbell, MN. And lastly, we will have mini FFA contests during the middle school lunch hour.
