Wadena, MN – Authorities have identified the man killed in a deadly house fire near Wadena.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says dispatchers received a call of a structure fire northwest of the city limits of Wadena around 3:44 a.m. Monday. Firefighters found 66-year-old Joseph Miller dead in his home. The cause of death is under investigation, but deputies say foul play is not suspected.
Fire crews from the Bluffton, Wadena, Sebeka, and New York Mills fire departments extinguished the blaze. Deputies say Miller was the owner and sole resident of the home, which is considered a total loss.
The Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating.
