Pelican Rapids, MN – The Friends of Maplewood at Maplewood State Park are hosting a Maple Syrup Day event on Saturday, April 11, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
The event includes demonstrations on making maple syrup at the Sugar Shack, as well as educational stations to discover more about the maple syrup making process. Participants will learn how to identify maple trees, and about historic syruping methods, look at syrup taps throughout the years, and find out more about maple syrup production in Minnesota.
The event is free, but a Minnesota State Park vehicle pass is needed to enter Maplewood State Park.
