Zvi Levran (Oakland County Jail)
Fergus Falls, MN – A former Fergus Falls physician has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting high school hockey players in Otter Tail County.
69-year-old former doctor Zvi Levran pleaded guilty to three of six counts of criminal sexual conduct on March 30. On Tuesday, April 7, he was sentenced to 15 years for the third degree charge and 10 years for each fourth degree charge, which will be served concurrently.
Prosecutors say that while he was working as a “Hockey Doc” in Otter Tail County, Levran made sexual contact with at least two underage hockey players under the false representation that it was for a medical purpose. Reported incidents occurred between the winter of 2014 and spring 2016.
Victims reached out to law enforcement following allegations that Levran had committed similar acts in Michigan in 2022. Last year, he was convicted of 28 charges of sexual misconduct and was sentenced to 10-25 years in Michigan custody. Levran’s Otter Tail County sentence will be served concurrently with his Michigan sentence.
