Wadena, MN – Two teens face life-threatening injuries following two-vehicle collision west of Wadena Saturday night.
State troopers say that around 5:15 p.m. Saturday a pickup was heading north on Highway 29 towards Wadena. A compact car turned south onto Highway 29 from 610th Avenue, colliding with the pickup.
The driver of the car, 18-year-old Tanner Schulke of Verndale, and his passenger, 17-year-old Jadyn Woida of Brandon, were both transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the pickup were not hurt.
Troopers say Schulke was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the accident.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, Astera Ambulance, Deer Creek Fire, and Premier Towing.
