St. Paul, MN – Minnesota farmers have won an important victory in a settlement with John Deere and Company.
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced the antitrust lawsuit against John Deere and Company will allow farmers the right to repair their own equipment. The lawsuit charged John Deere with unfair practices that drove up equipment repair costs for farmers while also depriving them of the ability to make timely repairs on their own tractors and farm equipment.
The settlement requires Deere to make its current and future repair resources available for a period of ten years.
