Moorhead, MN – Erik Osberg has won the DFL nomination in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District, defeating Steve Carlson in Tuesday’s primary.
Osberg won with 27,755 votes (65.7%), while Carlson garnered 14,489 votes.
Osberg will face Republican Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach in the November general election. Fischbach, who has represented the district since 2021, was unopposed in the Republican primary.
The 7th District covers much of western Minnesota, including Moorhead, Alexandria, Fergus Falls, and Willmar.
