Fergus Falls, MN – MnDOT has scheduled the demolition of the remaining Highway 210 bridge for next week, weather permitting, allowing work to progress on the southern interchange ramps.
Last week, work was completed on the eastbound I-94 off-ramp, meaning both northside ramps are open for use. Crews have spent the last few days installing pipe across the south junction of Western Avenue and concrete crews are getting curbs in place on the south and west legs of the Redwood Lane roundabout, and working on the east leg of the easterly roundabout.
Resident engineer Jesse Miller says a lot of the remaining work on the roundabouts are being done in small stages, “Little concrete pours that seem like there’s not a lot going on, but the staging needs to be done in sequence so we can move traffic around safely to get everything done.”
Miller asks drivers to be patient and slow down as crews work to finish this project before winter. “We’ve got a lot of work going on, a lot of people out there and we’re kind of messing with traffic, so if everyone can slow down and drive safe, we’re trying to get it done as quickly as we can and as safely as we can.”
