Riders will be competing and entertaining this Saturday when the Wahpeton Fire Department hosts their 2nd Annual Bull Bash.
Brett Lambrecht who is with the Wahpeton Fire Department Bull Bash says, “Last time, we had about 14 riders. We had great night in 2019 and we’re looking for 2021 to be bigger and better.”
According to Mr. Lambrect, for the inaugural event, they were planning on seeing around 1,000 people attend and approximately 1,600 showed up. They are expecting an even larger crowd this year.
The bull bash starts at 6pm and is being held at the Earl “Skip” Bute Alumni Stadium on the campus of North Dakota State College of Science. It will be two and a half hours of straight bull riding.
Mr. Lambrect says this will be fun for the whole family. Kids will be able to enjoy different activities, including the opportunity to participate in mutton busting (for 9-13 years olds).
Tickets are available at several Wahpeton businesses, as well as, wfdbullbash.com. General admission is $15, VIP is $50 (includes VIP seating and parking), ages 6-10 are $10 and ages 5 and under are free.
Money raised goes to the fire department.
When the Bull Bash ends, there will be a performance from Billy D and the Crystals.
