(St. Cloud, MN) — A U-S Air Force Medical Response Team is now at St. Cloud Hospital to help relieve staff treating COVID-19 and other patients. The 23 personnel began orientation Sunday and are expected to move into a standard shift schedule early this week.
Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Huseman says the team consists of doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists who will provide additional support within the I-C-U, surgical units, and emergency rooms.
The federal team will be helping at St. Cloud Hospital for at least 30 days.
The COVID positivity rate in Stearns County has increased to about 18 percent.
