(Grand Rapids, MN) — The Minnesota D-N-R is adding new sunfish regulations on 52 more lakes in the state.
Grand Rapids area fisheries supervisor Dave Weitzel says the harvest limits are part of an initiative to improve the size and quality of “sunnies” in Minnesota waters.
Weitzel says the five- and ten-fish limits on these lakes are supported by anglers.
There’s more information on the “quality sunfish initiative” page on the DNR’s website.
