(Fergus Falls, Minn.) – Greater Fergus Falls (GFF) is privileged to announce that Late ‘Til 8 will return to Downtown Fergus Falls for the 2022 summer season. From Memorial Day through Labor Day downtown nearly 40 retailers, restaurants, and businesses will be open until 8pm on Thursday evenings. The goal is to provide additional shopping hours, increase awareness of our local businesses, and drive traffic downtown. Some retailers and organizations plan to kick it up a notch by hosting special events and activities on select Thursday evenings.
Amy Hicks, owner of Dandelion & Burdock says, “We are excited for another summer season of “Late ‘Til 8″ and getting to see everybody out and about enjoying what downtown has to offer.” Hicks adds, “The addition of awesome block parties on June 2nd, July 7th, and August 4th starting at 5pm and running till 8 will include live music, food and drink vendors, activities for all, and more. A true eat, play, and shop experience! With this being Fergus Falls 150th Birthday, let’s celebrate all summer long and keep downtown Fergus Falls thriving for another 150 years.”
“We had such success staying open late last summer, and over the holidays that we can’t wait to do it again”, says Jan Werkau, shop owner at Creative Handmade Goods and SoapWerks Naturals. “Meeting new customers that haven’t had a chance to visit our shop is such a joy. Thursday nights have a slightly different shopper demographic. We love the energy that evening shopping brings downtown.”
