Summerfest Returns to Fergus Falls This Weekend

The 2022 edition of Summerfest in Fergus Falls is happening this weekend.

June 10th and 11th, Fergus Falls will be the place to be for people of all ages to enjoy music, games, fireworks, a parade and more.

This annual local event starts on Friday at Noon. KJ Country 96.5’s Aaron Taylor will be broadcasting live at Kirkbride Park on Friday from 11a-1p to help kick things off. Friday’s music entertainment will include performances from Kyle Colby (12pm-1:30p), Zach Thomas (2p-4p), Motu (4:30p-6:30p) and the Jensen Sisters (7p-10p). There will be a variety of other activities to be a part of like outside narrated tours of the Kirkbride and Movies in the Park (Wall-E at 9:30p).  Fireworks will light the sky at 10:15p to finish off the first day in style.

The fun continues on Saturday morning beginning at 9a. Saturday will feature a long list of activities, like the Youth Dog Show at 10a (9a registration), the car show from 12p-5p and live music, including a performance from Paul Christian (12:30p-2:30p).

This year’s parade will be on Saturday night beginning at 6pm. It starts at Gate City Bank (N. Oak St. and Lincoln Ave), going down Lincoln until Fribreg, where everything will continue and eventually end at the Fergus Falls Ice Area (Friberg and Mt. Faith). Staging begins at 5pm on Cavour Ave. Participants should enter from Collage Way and Cavour (behind the museum).

There will be a Fly-in/Drive-in Belgian Waffle Breakfast at the Fergus Falls Municipal Airport on Sunday from 8a-1p.
