DETROIT LAKES (KDLM) – The Historic Holmes Theatre has a new Executive Director.
Rustin Lippencott will become the Theatre’s third Executive Director after Amy Stearns announced in April she was stepping down from the position she’s held for nearly 20 years.
Lippencott, originally from Iowa, most recently worked as the Executive Director for Central Montana Tourism, but comes with a performing arts background having worked for the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center and Sandheim Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfield, Iowa as the Executive Director for more than ten years.
“When I had an opportunity to learn about the Holmes Theatre and move here, I couldn’t pass it up,” said Lippencott. “The community and the region really supports what they’re doing with the Holmes and I just want to continue the momentum.”
Stearns has agreed to stay on in a part-time capacity to help mentor and orientate Lippencott.
