Rasmussen Wins in Close GOP Primary Race

It was a tight race for the Republican spot on the November ballot for the Minnesota Senate District 9 seat. In Tuesday’s Primary Election, Jordan Rasmussen held off challenger Nathan Miller, by just 353 votes.

Rasmussen will go on to face Democrat Cornell Walker this fall, to replace long time State Senator, Bill Ingebrigtsen, who retired at the end of last session.

Jordan Rasmussen – 5,738 Votes – 51.59%

Nathan Miller – 5,385 Voter – 48.41%

 

In the five person race to be on the ballot for District 2 Otter Tail County Commissioner, incumbent Wayne Donald Johnson will face Jeffery Mark Gontarek this fall.

They were the top two vote getters in Tuesdays Primary Election.

Wayne Donald Johnson – 776 Votes – 37.29%

Jeffery Mark Gontarek – 528 Votes – 25.37%

David Helgerson – 398 Votes – 19.13%

Tammy S. Ziegler – 222 Votes – 10.67%

Dean Anderson – 157 Votes – 7.54%
