(Fargo, ND) — Three Fargo police officers were justified in actions resulting in the fatal shooting of a suspect in early July, says North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley.

In clearing the officers, Wrigley said Shane Netterville was in the driver’s seat of a stolen van and not complying with the lawful commands of Fargo police, including that he show his hands.”

Netterville started the vehicle and shut it off several times, then drove forward “rapidly toward officers.”

Officer Adam O’Brien fired one shot, hitting Netterville in the chest.
