Prairie Harvest Fest in Morris is happening this weekend.
Friday (September 16th) through Sunday (September 18th) will be full of fun for the whole family at the Stevens County Fairgrounds.
The 16th kicks off this event. There will be an outdoor showing of the movie “Minions” beginning at 8p with concessions available.
Saturday has a full lineup of activities. This includes craft and retail vendors from 10a-7p, gem stone mining from 10a-4p, the 6th annual car show from 1p-4p, the grand parade at 4:30p, fireworks at dusk and live music from 8p-midnight.
Prairie Harvest Fest wraps on Sunday. There will be a pancake feed at the Morris Fire Department from 8a-11a and Septemberfest at Assumption Church from 11a-2p.
Debby Olson, with Hartland Motor Company, which is organizing the event this year, said, “We really want everybody to come out and keep celebrating the town of Morris. This event kind of replaces Prairie Pioneer Days, if people are familiar with that, so we’re just hoping to keep it going and keep something around in Morris for everybody to celebrate at the beginning of fall here.”
Entry, parking and activities for Prairie Harvest Fest are free.
