(Minneapolis, MN). — A large coalition of activists and community organizations will be sharing details Thursday at noon about planned protests when the trial of Derek Chauvin begins on March 8th.
Chauvin is one of the four former Minneapolis police officers charged in the death of George Floyd.
The protestors are calling for justice for Floyd’s death. A coordinated law enforcement effort is already underway to try to prevent riots like those that broke out in the aftermath of Floyd’s killing.
The coalition of demonstrators says they plan to protest “no matter what.”
