(Bloomington, MN) — The family of a boy thrown from a balcony at the Mall of America privately settles with the mall.
A statement from the family’s attorney says they’re working with the mall to pursue safety changes.
In 2019, the five-year-old was grabbed by a stranger and thrown over the third-floor railing.
He sustained multiple bone fractures and massive head trauma but survived.
Emmanuel Aranda is serving 19 years in prison for attempted first-degree murder.
