(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has scheduled community meetings next month in Saint Paul, Bemidji, Worthington and Grand Rapids to get public input on the proposed merger of Fairview Health Services with South Dakota-based Sanford Health.
The lead-off hearing is January 10th at the state Revenue Department building, then January 17th at Bemidji State University, January 25th at Worthington High School and January 31st at the Reif Performing Arts Center in Grand Rapids.
Ellison said in November when he announced he’d hold hearings, “The issue of health care access and quality of care is something that I’m very concerned about and I want to hear what other people think about it. We either need some very powerful assurances or, you know, it’s gonna be a big concern.”
Each hearing is in the evening, from 6pm to 8pm. There’s also a comment form on the Minnesota attorney general’s website.
