Leighton Broadcasting would like to congratulate The Daily Journal on its 150th year of serving Fergus Falls and the surrounding communities.
The Journal only gave themselves credit for 50 years in their headline, but we want to make sure they get credit for the full 150 years
The Journal founded by A.J. Underwood in 1873 and was a family-owned until the mid-80’s until it was sold to Thomas Newspapers, and in 1992 it was purchased by Boone Newspapers Incorporated until July 2019 when it was sold to Wick Communications, the family-owned community media company with newspapers, websites, magazines, and specialty publications across 11 states.
