The Ashby FFA excels in The Ashby FFA chapter has had a busy fall and is excited to celebrate National FFA week here shortly! Our fall has been filled with state qualifying teams, chapter game nights, visits with region officers, and even some scholarships won at the Ag and Natural Resources Activities Day hosted at UMN Crookston.
One highlight from our winter was when our chapter decorated our own building for the Dalton Christmas Lights show. As we continue through the winter, we had two state degree award recipients who will walk across the state stage in April and we’re excited to compete in our next contests in the coming weeks. In mid-February, the officers are excited to host our National FFA Week celebration with a visit from state officer Noah Erickson, an axe-throwing party for fruit sales, at our local Ashby Axe, and even an Ag in the Classroom event with our 3rd grade classes.
Upcoming fundraisers – Tractor Restoration Project: The Ashby FFA chapter is currently restoring a 1946 Minneapolis-Moline UTU. We are restoring the tractor throughout the school with plans to raffle the tractor off in September.
Students are able to join at any time and just need to speak to a FFA advisor about how to participate in one of our upcoming events
