This Saturday will mark a day of fun events for families and friends.
The Battle lake Area Sporting Club is putting on the 6th Annual Ice Fishing Derby.
The Event is taking place February 18th at noon until 3 in the afternoon.
Gene Kelm, Sports Club member shared,
“The Sporting Club’s mission is to promote and support youth outdoor activities”
The ice derby’s 1st prize is a John Deer side by side.
There are other great events and prizes including a pellet grill, trailer and ice fishing package which includes an ice auger.
Gene Kelm added, “There are lots of raffles, and around 200 door prize giveaways.”
There will be kids’ games, and a skating rink.
The Shoreline will have a bar and restaurant on the ice, their will also be a food truck.
The location is west Battle Lake at the public access near the Shoreline Restaurant.
You can also use any type of fish house in this event, with is an interesting and somewhat unusual addition to an ice fishing derby.
Advanced tickets are available at local merchants, or the day of the Ice Fishing Derby.
