Fergus Falls girls basketball team played Roseau in a Section 8AA playoff game in Fergus Falls, winning 79-47 against the Rams.
The Otters will now face Perham at 7 in the evening Saturday night.
Fergus Falls Otter Boys Basketball
The Fergus Falls boys’ basketball team on Thursday night played the St. Cloud Tech Tigers taking a loss to the Tigers 78-54.
Pelican Rapids Girls Basketball
Morgan Korf registered a double-double on Thursday night to assist Pelican Rapids’ win 62-54 against Frazee.
Korf scored 22 points, and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Vikings will host Wadena-Deer Creek at 7 in the evening on Saturday.
The Wolverines beat Hawley on Thursday night, 57-43 to advance to the quarterfinals.
Boys Hockey
Alexandria Cardinals won 5-4 in St. Cloud sending them to the Class A Tournament as Section 6A Champions.
Wrestling
The West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville wrestling team competed in the Class A State Team Tournament on Thursday.
Losing to Jackson County Central 48-17 in the quarterfinal round, they beat Royalton/Upsala 31-29 in the consolation semifinals.
That advanced them to the consolation championship match against Medford, where they lost 37-33 ending the team season.
Hillcrest girls’ basketball
Hillcrest girls’ basketball team played Breckenridge Cowgirls taking a loss 67-62.
Breckenridge will play Henning in a Section 6A quarterfinal round game at 2:45pm Saturday in Perham.
Hillcrest ends the season with overall record of 18-10.
Henning Hornets girls’ basketball
Henning Hornets girls’ basketball played Thursday night against Ada-Borup/West in a Section 6A playoff game. The Hornets won 68-44 against the Cougars.
Ashby Boys Basketball
The Ashby Boys Basketball Team beat the Brandon-Evansville Chargers 60-44 on Thursday.
Ashby ends their regular season Friday night in Henning.

West Central Area Girls’ basketball
West Central Area girls’ basketball team lost against 57-49 Montevideo in the Section 3AA North semifinals in Willmar on Tuesday night. Montevideo face New London-Spicer next in a sub-section championship game on Thursday night.
Henning Boys’ basketball
The Henning boys’ basketball team beat Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal, 58-49. They will host Ashby in their final regular season game on Friday.
West Central Area Boys Basketball
finish regular season 18-7, West Central Area’s Knights won 58-32 against the Owls in Hancock on Tuesday night.
Rothsay Boys’ Basketball
The Rothsay boys’ basketball team had an 81-52 victory against New York Mills on Tuesday night. The win breaks their four game Rothsay losing streak and is the fourth win of the season for the Tigers. They will finish the regular season schedule with a Friday night game in Moorhead against Park Christian.
Hawley Boys’ Basketball
Fosston beat Hawley in a non-conference boys’ basketball game, Tuesday night. The Greyhounds won 62-59 against the Nuggets.
