On Tuesday, Sergeant Preston Berg of the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office was honored for completing all four phases of the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association Institute for Credible Leadership (ICLD).

The ICLD is a comprehensive, online leadership learning system designed to develop and enhance the leadership skills of those working in law enforcement.

The Minnesota Sheriff’s Association, in partnership with the OTC Sheriff’s Office, recognizes that every individual in the field of law enforcement is considered a leader.

Therefore, the ICLD program aims to equip these professionals with the necessary leadership skills to excel in their roles and better serve their communities.

The ICLD is divided into four distinct phases, each focusing on different aspects of leadership. These phases include foundations of leadership, and teaching organizational as well as community leadership skills.

Sergeant Berg’s completion of all four phases demonstrates his dedication to personal and professional growth, as well as his commitment to the OTC Sheriff’s Office and the community he serves.

The knowledge and skills Sergeant Berg gained through the ICLD program will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success and effectiveness of the OTC Sheriff’s Office.

The OTC Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association congratulate Sergeant Preston Berg on this significant achievement and look forward to witnessing the positive impact his enhanced leadership skills will have on the department and the community.
