A 23-year-old female driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle accident on the eastbound I-94 highway in Tanberg Township, Wilkin County, late last night.
The incident occurred at around 12:57 in the morning, today (March 31st)
The victim, Cassandra Leigh Coyle Draeger of Fargo, ND, was driving a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer when she lost control of the vehicle on the snow and ice-covered road.
The vehicle rolled over in the median, and the airbag did not deploy.
Draeger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, and alcohol was not a factor.
Rothsay Rescue and Fire, Wilkin County officers, and the Barnsville Ambulance service were among the outside agencies that responded to the scene.
Draeger was transported to Sanford Health for treatment of her injuries.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution on the roads during these snowy and icy conditions.
