A new chapter in the world of gardening is set to begin in Fergus Falls, as Lakes Area Grow Co. announces the grand opening of its retail store on Friday, May 5th. Located at 212 W. Lincoln Ave downtown.
The store will offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor gardening products and equipment from popular brands such as Fox Farm, AC Infinity, and House & Garden.
Owner and Grow consultant James Elliott expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share his passion and expertise in indoor gardening with the Fergus Falls community.
“There is a new chapter on the way in Minnesota, and we are proud to be a part of it!” said Elliott.
He also praised the support provided by Greater Fergus Falls (GFF) in making the venture possible, describing their guidance and resources as “absolutely crucial.”
The store is the brainchild of early-stage entrepreneurs James Elliott and Angie Hay, who have been working closely with GFF’s Entrepreneur Initiative.
The program offers free, confidential one-on-one consulting for start-ups and technical assistance for existing business owners.
Available in-person, virtually, or through a hybrid approach, the program aims to foster entrepreneurship in the area.
GFF Board Member Jasmine Sonmor welcomed Lakes Area Grow Co. to the Fergus Falls business community, highlighting the importance of diversifying the local economy for sustainability.
“Adding a retail center that offers new technologies and education on indoor gardening is an exciting new value add,” she said.
Lakes Area Grow Co. will be open Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, Saturday to Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm, and will be closed on Mondays.
