The American Legion in Underwood, Minnesota, is set to host the much-anticipated Veterans Home R&R Fun Run on June 3, 2023.
The event, meant to bring veterans and the community together in a day of camaraderie, includes the motorcycle run, auctions, a gun raffle, and a live band performance.
Registration opens at 8:00 AM, with maps provided for participants who will take part either by bike or car.
At 10:00 AM, the program kicks off, leading up to the main event with kick stands up at 11:30 AM.
All bikes as a group to go to Veterans Home n escorted group ride to the Veterans Home with escort.
After the visit, participants will embark on the Fun Run, making their way back to the American Legion in Underwood by 5:30 PM.
In the spirit of community, the event will also offer a Free Will Meal from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Possible food trucks on-site, providing a range of options for attendees.
The American Legion will be hosting a gun raffle at 6:30 PM, with the drawing taking place at 7:00 PM.
There will also be a silent auction running until 6:15 PM and 6:30 PM, followed by a live auction at 6:45 PM.
Attendees can expect an array of apparel and items available for purchase throughout the event.
Mitch Davis shared regarding the Veterans Home Rest & Relaxation funds being raised for Veterans,
“Last year we donated $30,000 to the veterans Home, and we are hoping to surpass that this year.”
Adding to the entertainment is a band, aptly named “Asking for a Friend”, set to perform during the event at 6:45 PM.
