The Dairyland Dude: A Charming Artistic Symbol of Fergus Falls’ Local History

Yesterday July 16th 2023, on National Ice Cream Day, the Dairyland Dude made a grand entrance on Dairyland’s Facebook page.

This animated character, complete with big eyes and an ice cream cone, is a creative masterpiece by local artist Sam Norman from Beehive Tattoo.

The Dairyland Dude, a fun reinterpretation of the iconic Dairyland building, has been warmly welcomed by the community and will feature on the back cover of the forthcoming book, If These Walls Could Talk, by local author Pat Connelly

The Dairyland Dude characterizes Dairyland, an institution that has been an essential part of Fergus Falls since its inception in 1955.

Serving as a bridge between generations, this charming mascot encapsulates the shared memories and experiences tied to the local dairy industry.

The anticipated book, If These Walls Could Talk, weaves together the intriguing story of Dairyland with the wider history of Fergus Falls.

Victor Lundeens, a long-standing, family-owned business in the community, is set to print the book, adding to its local charm.

Ottertail Power, renowned for their meticulous craftsmanship, is handling the binding, ensuring the entire production process remains a local endeavor.
