(Fargo, ND) — North Dakota Attorney Drew Wrigley says a review of the body camera footage from fallen Fargo Police Officer Jake Wallin shows that he was not the first officer shot by Mohamed Barakat, as had been previously thought.
Wrigley says an analysis by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations paints a new picture of the incident. “The winds of fate, as I said the other day, he was the third officer shot which gave him that brief flash of time to get a couple of steps and get the weapon out of his holster, which is time that Officer Haus and Officer Dotes did not have,”
Wrigley says as the investigation continues, body cam footage of the shooting will be released to the public.
