Country Music Fans Geared up for WEFest

With the 40th WEFest 2023 about to begin, there are a few dos and don’ts to be aware of as you travel. 

 

Detroit Lakes is preparing to welcome country music enthusiasts from all around as the much-awaited WE Fest, an annual three-day country music festival, draws near.

With just a few days left until the festivities kick off, organizers are working tirelessly to ensure a memorable experience for all attendees.

The event, scheduled for August 3rd, 4th and 5th this year, is set to feature an impressive lineup of top-tier country artists.

Among those slated to perform are Morgan Wallen, Brad Paisley, Kane Brown, Chase Rice, Brothers Osborne, Gabby Barrett, Ernest, and Travis Tritt. Their presence promises to electrify the stage and captivate the thousands of fans gathering at the festival grounds.

 

However, as the event approaches, the Minnesota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the Minnesota State Patrol, wants to remind all WE Fest attendees about certain safety and parking regulations.

Staff has begun letting campers into camp grounds and event areas.

Vehicles staged along Highway 59 must be parked on the shoulder, and it is crucial to note that parking is solely at the owner’s risk.

Extra state Patrol will be in the area, and event goers and other drivers are asked to be more aware as the Highway near the Soo Pass Ranch is more congested.

Shuttle services area available at the Becker County Fair Grounds and other location as well to minimize congestion and impaired driving during the festival.

 

Sgt. Jesse Grabow with the Minnesota State Patrol shared,

“With all the extra traffic in the area, we want everyone to do their part to keep people safe”.

 

Moreover, festival-goers are required to remain within their parked vehicles and refrain from setting up camps, chairs, grills, or any equipment outside of their designated parking spaces.

Safety and order during the festival are of utmost importance, and to ensure this, the area will be closely monitored by both the Minnesota State Patrol and the dedicated WE

Their presence will help create a secure environment for everyone, allowing the attendees to immerse themselves fully in the music and entertainment.
