(Mankato, MN) — As Governor Tim Walz prepared to deliver his State of the State address Sunday night at Mankato West High School, protesters gathered in front of the school to voice their displeasure with the administration.
Most of their concerns centered on fully re-opening the state following a year of COVID-19 restrictions put in place through executive orders.
Protesters also asked for State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm to go in front of a legislative confirmation hearing, end the mask mandate for high school athletes and have all schools return to in-person learning.
