(Undated) – The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is asking parents to ensure their kids know how to be safe going to, being in, and coming home from school.

DPS spokesperson Jen Longaecker says today (THURS) is see something, say something; “Teaching kids how to call 911 when they’re home alone and then also focusing on our See It, Say It, Send It app.”

Longaecker says the DPS-created app allows students to report something problematic or emergent while in school and features an offer to talk to experts in real-time.
