Fergus Falls Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Labor Day
Fergus Falls, MN – The Fergus Falls Fire Department swiftly responded to a structure fire on Labor Day, Monday, September 4th, at 443 Second Ave.
At 5:35 PM, authorities arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke emanating from the exterior of an 8-stall garage, with flames visible through an open garage door.
The area where the fire started suffered significant fire damage, and the entire garage sustained moderate roof damage.
Additionally, two vehicles were damaged, and personal property belonging to multiple tenants was affected.
Preliminary estimates place the damage at $100,000.
The Fergus Falls Police Department and Ringdahl EMS provided valuable assistance alongside the Fire Department during the incident.
Firefighters deployed with 4 engines, 1 ladder truck, and 4 command staff to tackle the fire.
There were no reported injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, with support from the MN State Fire Marshal’s Office.
