Lake Region Healthcare is pleased to announce that Dr. David Cline has joined the provider team and will be returning to his roots in Battle Lake to provide primary care services at the clinic there.
After graduating from Battle Lake High School, Dr. Cline received his undergraduate degree at Hamline University in St. Paul before pursuing medical school at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Duluth.
He was a Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) student at Lake Region Healthcare in 2018 and attended the Family Medicine residency through Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Kasson, MN.
Dr. Cline sees patients of all ages from newborn and up for primary care.
When asked why he pursued a career in family medicine he credited his own childhood experiences with Dr. Lembcke at the Battle Lake Clinic.
“Growing up we had Dr. Lembke at the Battle Lake Clinic and he was my guy to go to. I had a lot of ear infections as a kid and I thought it was so cool that someone gets to do this and help people all the time. I always looked up to Dr. Lembcke and have wanted to do primary care ever since.” Cline said he feels privileged to take care of the community that helped raise him and enjoys being able to give back to his hometown.
“We are especially happy when providers who have a strong connection and commitment to their community choose to join us in our mission of enriching life through health and keeping high quality health care closest to home. Having Dr. Cline in the Battle Lake Clinic is a perfect example and we know he will be an excellent addition to our family medicine department and to the Battle Lake community,” said Kent Mattson, LRH CEO.
Dr. Cline is married to Jamie, a Speech Language Pathologist in Lake Region Healthcare’s Rehabilitation Therapies department. In their spare time they enjoy time with their dog Izzy, kayaking, and biking at nearby Glendalough State Park.
