(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota House lawmakers this week (Wed 9/13) begin a series of tours around Minnesota to hear pitches from projects vying for state infrastructure dollars.

Their first sweep is through west-central into northwest Minnesota, where they’ll visit about 20 communities over the space of three days, including Saint Cloud, Brainerd, Bemidji, Red Lake Falls, Crookston, Moorhead, Fergus Falls, Alexandria and Paynesville.

Later in the month they’ll be in northeast Minnesota; southwest, central and southeast Minnesota in October; and the Twin Cities in November.

Senate lawmakers have already covered some parts of the state and they’re next in southwest Minnesota in early October. Lawmakers have over seven billion dollars in requests, but only a fraction will be funded in 2024.
