Pelican Rapids Volleyball Dominates Battle Lake to Kick Off Homecoming Week

To commence their homecoming festivities, the Pelican Rapids Vikings squared off against Battle Lake this Tuesday, securing a commanding 3-0 victory over the Battlers. According to Pelican Rapids Head Coach Heidi Isaman, the evening was about more than just volleyball.

She stated, “We also had elementary autograph night and ‘Bucks for Bradyn,’ which was a fundraiser for Battle Lake sophomore Bradyn Roisum, who was severely injured in an ATV accident in August.” adding,

“It was a great night of volleyball and community working together with the community of Battle Lake to raise funds for a family in need.”

 

Park Christian Falcons Triumph Over Comets in Four Sets

Traveling from Moorhead, the Park Christian Falcons clashed with the Comets of Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls for an intense high school volleyball match.

The visitors emerged victorious after a fierce battle, taking the match in four sets with scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-22, and 27-25.

 

Lady Knights Secure Home Victory Over Montevideo in Four Sets

The West Central Area Lady Knights hosted Montevideo on Tuesday night, clinching a 3-1 (25-6, 25-18, 19-25, 25-11) volleyball triumph in Barrett.

In Pelican Rapids, the Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Boys Soccer Team asserted their dominance by defeating the Pelican Rapids Vikings with a final score of 2-0 on Tuesday evening.

The Fergus Falls girls’ soccer team notched a thrilling 4-3 win against St. Cloud Apollo at the Otter Stadium this Tuesday.

 

Fergus Falls Boys Overwhelmed by St. Cloud Apollo in 7-0 Soccer Rout

St. Cloud Apollo played host to Fergus Falls in a Central Lakes Conference boys’ soccer matchup, resulting in a resounding 7-0 victory for the Eagles. Fergus Falls Head Coach Joel Heikes commented, “Apollo was a very scrappy team. The Otters played well and played very hard all game long, but in the end, Apollo was just too much for us.”

Additionally, the Fergus Falls JV team suffered a 4-1 loss, with Joseph Heikes scoring off a throw-in from Josh Horgen.

 

Soydara Shatters Records and Secures Medalist Honors Once Again

M State sophomore Ellia Soydara continued her remarkable performance, clinching medalist honors with rounds of 68 and 69, resulting in a two-day total of 7-under par 137 at the VCSU Invite held at CrossRoads Golf Club in Carrington, North Dakota.

Soydara’s outstanding play led to an 8-shot victory over the 21-player field, while also breaking the M State school record for a two-day tournament score.

Brooklyn Meteri of Dickinson State secured the runner-up position with a two-day total of 145.

 

Otter Girls Triumph in CLC Tennis Matchup at Sartell

The Fergus Falls tennis team embarked on a journey to Sartell for a Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AA showdown against the Sabres on Tuesday.

In a picturesque setting and with exceptional tennis on display, the Otters emerged victorious with a final score of 5-2.
