On September 20th, law enforcement apprehended a suspect after attempting to cash a fraudulent check at F&M Bank, located at 128 E Washington Ave, Fergus Falls.
At approximately 4:06 in the afternoon, report of a suspicious individual trying to cash a fraudulent check at the bank.
Responding to the call, law enforcement officers arrived promptly at the scene.
Upon their arrival, they encountered the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Thomas Wilson Stiles.
Stiles was located after making an attempt to pass a fraudulent check.
During the course of the arrest, Stiles allegedly attempted to flee the scene by means other than a motor vehicle.
In addition to the fleeing charge, Stiles was also charged with 4th-degree assault of a peace officer and obstructing legal process with force.
