A successful start to the spring travel season has officials at Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport optimistic about the continued rebound of the airline industry. Airport Commission spokesman Jeff Lea says typically airlines reduce the number of flights offered after spring break…but not this year.
“We’re actually seeing a few more flights that are on the books, so there is not a typical leveling off on the operations side, which seems to tell a story that the airlines are seeing a little bit stronger demand.”
Lea emphasized MSP is ready to serve those who want to fly now, and will stay ready for those who decide to return when they feel more comfortable.
