In a shocking incident on November 8, 2023, at approximately 13:58, authorities responded to a report of vandalism and a break-in at a residence on Beverly Hills Rd, Otter Tail County.
The complainant, whose identity has not been disclosed, reported the discovery of a neighbor’s mailbox forcibly removed from the ground and two windows on the attached garage shattered.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the extent of the damage was far more severe.
The incident occurred at Unit Number #309/332/331, where an unauthorized individual, identified as Adam Roger Gronseth, entered the residence without permission.
The resident was suspected to be away on vacation, as attempts to contact her were unsuccessful.
The damages inflicted by the perpetrator were estimated to be in the thousands of dollars, including multiple broken windows, a sliding door, light fixtures, a toilet, and numerous glass items.
The destructive spree involved tearing out electrical boxes, destroying various items, and throwing them down the stairs.
The Sheetrock was kicked in, and the ceiling was stabbed and broken.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement found Adam Roger Gronseth passed out/asleep in the residence, claiming a “bad reaction to drugs.”
He was subsequently arrested for 1st Degree Criminal Damage to Property and transported to the Otter Tail County Detention Facility (OTCDF).
Follow-up actions include contacting the property owner, who is currently on vacation, and making arrangements with the family to secure and board up the home.
