On Saturday February 10th, Grant County Deputies, assisted by Douglas County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in Ashby on the suspect vehicle used in the robbery that occurred at Casey’s in Hoffman last Thursday.
The suspect had entered the Casey’s store in Hoffman, Minnesota on February 8th, and asked the clerk to exchange coins for dollar bills.
When the clerk opened the register, the suspect attempted to grab the register tray.
The clerk attempted to stop him, but the suspect forcibly grabbed cash from the tray and fled on foot.
As a result of Saturday’s traffic stop, the suspect was taken into custody.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says the incident remains an active investigation and no additional details are available at this time.
