Browns Valley, MN — State Representative Jeff Backer, R-Browns Valley, announces his candidacy for re-election in House District 09A, encompassing all or portions of Grant, Otter Tail, Traverse, and Wilkin Counties.
Throughout his public service, Rep. Backer is a tireless advocate for this district, dedicating himself to its betterment through extensive engagement and direct action.
His commitment is evidenced by over 16 thousand miles traveled to connect with constituents, attending hundreds of meetings to hear their concerns and aspirations, and his unwavering support for essential services.
Notably, Rep. Backer has made significant strides in securing funding for radio infrastructure, enhancing emergency medical services, and vigorously defending local interests against bureaucratic overreach, particularly in matters related to land use and environmental buffers.
Additionally, Rep. Backer has been a staunch opponent of one-party DFL rule, advocating for a balanced government that represents the views and interests of all Minnesotans.
