Semi Accident in Glyndon Leaves Woman Dead

Glyndon, MN – At around 3:30 Friday afternoon (May 24th), State Troopers responded to an accident on I-94 between a semi and a passenger vehicle near mile marker 6.

According to the state report, the passenger vehicle was traveling Westbound on I-94 in heavy rain when it went off the road, stuck the cable barrier and reentered the westbound lanes where it collided with a semi truck and trailer.

90-year-old Barbara Klasinski of Stevens Point, Wisconsin died at the scene.

91-year-old Jean Stroik of Stevens Point suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Hospital for treatment.

The semi driver and the other 2 occupants of the passenger vehicle were uninjured.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Glyndon Fire, Moorhead Fire, and FM Ambulance.
