Fergus Falls Fire Investigating Gas Leak on Broadway (Derek Sidian, KBRF Radio News)
Fergus Falls, MN – The Fergus Falls Fire Department has blocked off and evacuated multiple blocks on Broadway due to a gas leak.
The blocks between Seventh Avenue and Spruce Avenue on Broadway have been evacuated and are blocked off from traffic.
A shelter in place has been issued for all homes within a block of Broadway and Maple Avenue.
According to a member of the FFFD on the scene, the leak seems to have been caused from the construction happening on Broadway, with something puncturing the gas line in the street, though nothing is certain at this time.
Great Plains Natural Gas is currently attempting to isolate the line with the leak, so it can be repaired.
