Paul Condon (OTCDF)
Perham, MN – 38-year-old Paul Condon of Baxter has been sentenced for Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Psilocybin.
According to court documents, Condon was spotted weaving towards the fog line at high speeds by a Minnesota State Trooper in Wadena County at around midnight on March 28th, 2024.
The trooper followed Condon’s vehicle, using his radar to determine he was speeding over ten miles per hour over the speed limit.
When the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Condon did not slow down, but accelerated to 95 mph.
Additional law enforcement officers joined the pursuit, as Condon crossed into Otter Tail County and his speeds ranged between 90 and 110 mph.
Eventually, the Perham Police Department was able to successfully catch Condon’s vehicle with stop sticks, which caused the vehicle to slow quickly before stopping in Perham.
Once the vehicle was stopped, law enforcement officers ordered Condon out of the vehicle, and he initially did not obey.
Once he finally exited the vehicle, he became compliant with their orders.
He told the officers that he had 2 pounds of marijuana and 1 pound of mushrooms in his vehicle.
The trooper went to speak with Condon when he noticed evidence of the suspect being impaired by drugs, and Condon was taken into custody.
Back in April, Condon plead Guilty to Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Psilocybin.
He was sentenced to 7 years at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud on Friday, June 7th.
According to court records, Condon has an extensive criminal history in both Minnesota and North Dakota.
