Emergency Vehicles Blocking Lincoln Avenue (Dave Bishop, KBRF Radio News)
Fergus Falls, MN – At 11:48 Tuesday morning (June 25th), a motorcycle collided with the trailer of a semi at Lincoln and I-94.
The Fergus Falls Police Department, Fergus Falls Fire, and Ringdahl Ambulance were dispatched to the initial report of a motorcycle crash with the operator on the ground not moving.
Upon arrival, officers found the motorcycle operator lying in the left lane of travel and checked for vitals.
The driver had significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers took statements from a number of witnesses who indicated that the operator was westbound on Lincoln Avenue and had collided with the rear portion of a semi truck’s trailer.
The semi had exited eastbound 94 and was making a left turn to go east on Lincoln.
Westbound Lincoln Avenue remained closed for a few hours while investigators worked the scene to reconstruct the crash.
The FFPD is being assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol in the investigation.
No additional information is being released at this time as notification of family is ongoing.
