Barnesville, MN – Motorists traveling on westbound Interstate 94 near Barnesville will encounter lane closures and short-term traffic shifts starting Monday, October 21st, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Crews will be making repairs to the concrete pavement on westbound I-94. The right lane will close on Monday as crews prepare for the repairs. Then, mid-day Tuesday and Wednesday, for two to three hours, westbound I-94 traffic will be routed to the exit and entrance ramps at the Highway 34 interchange, while crews perform the repairs to the concrete pavement on I-94. Flaggers will control traffic on Highway 34 during the short-term traffic shift.
When the section of I-94 reopens, the right lane will remain closed for approximately one week to allow concrete to cure.
