Wendell, MN – A Fergus Falls man and his passenger were injured following a crash west of Wendell at around 3:30 Sunday afternoon (November 24th).
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 68-year-old Edmund Campion of Fergus Falls was travelling east on Highway 55 when his vehicle exited the roadway into the right ditch and continued into the field.
Campion and his passenger, 41-year-old Marie Hedstrom of Alexandria, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Elbow Lake Hospital for treatment.
According to officials, neither occupant was wearing their seatbelt and it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the accident. They also say the road was dry at the time of the crash.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Wendell Fire, and Lake Region Ambulance.
