Menahga, MN – Law enforcement was called to a deer stand in rural Menahga after a hunter was injured from falling from the stand.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene in Blueberry Township at around 10:41 Saturday morning (December 7th). When deputies arrived they found a 57-year-old Menahga man laying under a deer stand and learned that he had fallen approximately 15 feet while muzzleloader hunting.
The man was conscious and breathing, but was unable to speak. The victim was transported to Sanford Fargo via air ambulance to be treated for his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Menahga First Responders, the Menahga Fire Department, Astera EMS, and North Memorial Air Care.
