Alexandria, MN (KFGO) – A man was arrested in Alexandria after a months-long investigation into sex trafficking.
Police learned 30-year-old Dakar Ortiz was planning to stop in Alexandria Friday. Ortiz was wanted in Minnesota for sex trafficking and providing false information to police. Ortiz also had felony warrants in California for robbery, terrorizing, and assault.
The West-Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force planned to arrest Ortiz when he arrived at a truck stop. The task force, along with Alexandria Police, Douglas County Deputies, and Douglas County SWAT team members, arrested Ortiz without incident.
Ortiz remains in the Douglas County Jail.
